Fine Needle Aspiration Clinic

In 1977, David S. Meyers, M.D. spearheaded the opening of Pathology Consultants Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) Clinic in Oregon.  This FNA Clinic was one of the first private practice clinics in the country and began a legacy of significantly improving timely diagnosis of both neoplastic and non-neoplastic disease, reducing the need for open surgical biopsies for many patients.  John P. DiTomasso, M.D. trained in ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration and joined Pathology Consultants in September of 1997; at this time Pathology Consultants was the only clinic in the United States to offer this service to our patients.  Denis M. McCarthy, M.D., who also trained in ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration came to Pathology Consultants in 2004 joining Drs. Meyers and DiTomasso in providing this convenient and efficient service.

FNA's are performed by our three subspecialty board certified cytopathologists, David S. Meyers, M.D., John P. DiTomasso, M.D. and Denis M. McCarthy, M.D.

Our clinic is open daily for scheduled appointments and unscheduled appointments as necessary.
